Classroom Tools in English
Teen ReadersThe Teen Readers are written especially for students of English. Vocabulary and sentence structure have been simplified to provide easy reading. The books include glossaries and footnotes and reading guides. The One Fine Day Teen Reader was adapted from my one-woman stage comedy of the same name. It was the inspiration for my novel Memoirs of an Ex-Cheerleader (Mein kleines großes Leben). The Prince William Teen Reader takes place in New York City in 1997. It was the forerunner to my novel Prince William, Maximilian Minsky and Me which unfolds against the backdrop of Berlin at the time of Princess Diana’s death. |

Bilingual ReadersThis bilingual book features scenes from my Prince William novel. The dialogue is exactly as it is in the original American text, but the descriptive prose is in German. The novel’s entire plot is summarized scene by scene in German as well. The idea behind this book is that learners of English have an easier time reading dialogue than they do reading descriptive passages, ergo this book may be more enjoyable to read than the novel which is, of course, entirely in English. Seem complicated? Take a look yourself! |
